Functional Care and Wellness Support

The Somatic Self-Care System is an ongoing, self-care and recovery system designed to help individuals continue recognizing and organizing the body patterns and signals identified during their Functional Wellness Assessment . Rather than focusing on isolated symptoms, this support system helps organize how accumulated stress and ongoing demands may be influencing physical responses, symptom timing, tension and recovery patterns, adjustment patterns and overall function. Support focuses on understanding how patterns may develop, repeat, adapt and shift over time in response to recovery habits, movement, tension levels, breathing mechanics and environmental demands. This system exists alongside traditional healthcare — not to replace it but to support what happens between and beyond it, where many day-to-day patterns actually occur. What “Somatic” Means ...

Meet Your Functional Care Specialist

Anne Rissmiller, a Functional Care Specialist and founder of the ATP Center for Wellness and Recovery and the Somatic Self-Care System.

Her work developed through more than a decade of studying stress patterns, nervous system regulation, body awareness, breathwork, physiology, anatomy and self-care support.

For over 12 years, she focused on nervous system regulation and stress relief support for special needs children and their parents, while also operating a sensory play center for six years centered around sensory integration, calming environments and supportive connection.

Over time, her work expanded through both professional experience and personal observation. After navigating the healthcare system for decades herself, she began recognizing how many individuals were struggling to organize and understand the relationship between stress load, tension patterns, breath habits, nervous system overwhelm and daily symptom experiences.

Rather than focusing on diagnosis or treatment, her work centers on helping clients better understand how the body may be responding, compensating and communicating through patterns involving stress, pressure, tension, breathing habits, recovery capacity and daily life demands.

Her approach combines body-led observation, self-care awareness, nervous system support and functional pattern recognition to help clients better understand what may be influencing how they feel and where supportive recovery practices may already be trying to emerge.

Through the ATP Center for Wellness and Recovery, Anne provides educational and observational support intended to exist alongside traditional healthcare while helping clients develop greater awareness of their own stress patterns, body responses and self-care needs.
